FEDERAL SPECIALIZED PERINATAL CENTRE

     October 9th, 2007 the Russian Federation president’s order “About the Russian Federation population policy concept confirmation for the period till 2025” went forth.

     December 4th, 2007 the Government of the Russian Federation accepted the regulation №1734-r “About design, construction and equipage of federal perinatal centers financed from the Government funds ”. Federal Almazov heart, blood and endocrinology centre was determined as a state customer of the federal specialized perinatal centre.

     The construction began in 2008. The construction finishing and setting into operation is planed for the second quarter of 2010.

     All types of high technology medical aid will be administered in the limits of government order and from government funds.

     The main aim of the federal specialized perinatal centre is demographic situation improvement through decreasing of maternal and infant death rate, women with serious cardial, endocrinological and hematological diseases reproductive health promotion and conducting of abnormal foetus and new born development surgical correction.

     The main tasks of the federal specialized perinatal centre for the aim realization are:

1. Early prenatal defection of foetus development malformations for the choice of prenatal care tactics, gestation age and mode of delivery.
2. Infertility treatment and birth spacing in women with cardial, endocrinological and hematological diseases: with the use of abdominoscopy, hysteroscopy and angiographic techniques, in vitro fertilization (IVF) technologies.
3. Prenatal care of high risk group women with cardiovascular, endocrinological and hematological diseases: medicamental correction, delivery, treatment in puerperal period.
4. Diagnostics and surgical treatment of foetus and new newborn cardiovascular system.
5. Diagnostics and surgical treatment of inherent foetus and newborn malformations of gastrointestinal tract, urinary system, central nervous system and musculoskeletal system.
6. Periodic health examination, case follow-up and treatment of the children first aid administered in the Federal specialized perinatal centre.
7. Perinatal pathology late effect prevention.

 

     Institute of Perinatology and Pediatrics is one of the 6 institutes in Federal Almazov Heart, Blood and Endocrinology Centre structure.

     Institute main activity directions:

• Basic researches in the field of perinatal medicine.
• Elaboration and practical application of new methods of newborn care, treatment and diagnostics of children, pregnant and recently confined women intended for maternal and perinatal losses decreasing, lowering of disability, saving and recovery of population reproductive health.
• Creation of a single scientific base for elaboration of single protocols of medical aid with the most effective high technology methods of new generation.
• Elaboration of standard programs of clinical- expert evaluation of medical aid care for women and children; maternal, perinatal and newborn death rate analysis with the use of up-to-date information technologies.

     The Institute contains: Laboratory of reproductology, Laboratory of antenatal pathology, Laboratory of inherent and inherited pathology, Laboratory of newborn physiology and pathology, Laboratory of cardiovascular children surgery, Laboratory of children arrhythmology, Laboratory o endocrinology.

     Laboratory of reproductology

• elaboration and creation of scientific programs for pregnancy preparation, childbirth and rehabilitation in infertility with complications of obstetric-gynecologic anamnesis, somatic pathology (cardiovascular, endocrinologic and haematologic diseases) and with intrauterine fetation malformations intended for pregnancy complication prevention, pregnant women health improvement and easy childbirth.

     Laboratory of antenatal pathology

• elaboration and implementation of prenatal intrauterine foetus pathology diagnostics, improvement of pregnancy and childbirth care tactics among women with diagnosed fetation malformations.
• taking part in high technological methods elaboration for placental insufficiency treatment and intended for uteroplacental and foetus placental blood circulation malformations correction and functional malformations of foetus central nervous system.

     Laboratory of newborn physiology and pathology

• newborn neonatal period characteristics study;
• elaboration and improvement of serious perinatal pathology diagnostics and treatment methods.

     Laboratory of inherent and inherited pathology

• characteristic study of functional systems formation in early human ontogenesis.
• improvement of surgical correction methods in foetus and newborn inherent malformations.

     Laboratory of cardiovascular children surgery

• characteristic study of foetus and newborn blood circulation system engagement. Characteristic research of  inherit cardiac malformation pathogenesis for improvement of surgical correction methods.

     Laboratory of children arrhythmology

• characteristic study of foetus, newborn and child cardiac conduction system malformations intended for their early effective surgical correction.
