Launches Art-Campaign “World Heart”

     

     An extraordinary art-campaign took place in Saint-Petersburg from 2 to 3 December 2011 – doctors and artists gathered together to draw attention to heart and heart related diseases.

  Almazov Federal Centre, all-Russian non-governmental organization “Antihypertensive League”, the “Pushkinskaya-10” Art-Centre, and “MSD Pharmaceuticals LLC” under Saint-Petersburg Healthcare Committee carried out joint art campaign “World Heart”.

     Unfortunately, the amount of heart disease incidences is claiming more lives. People of varied professions joined efforts to point out how heart is delicate, vulnerable and requires for care.

   “World Heart” is an exhibition of Russian and foreign artists’ works. Presented works of art (pictures and photos) display heart’s beauty, its singularity and genuine fascination.

     First vice-chairman of Saint-Petersburg Healthcare Committee Vladimir Zholobov and Almazov Federal Centre scientific vice-director Prof. Alexandra Konradi took part in the exhibition opening ceremony.

     Within the exhibition every wishing could have its health examined for detection of primary risk factors for cardiovascular diseases. Specialists of one of the top medical institutions in the North-West region told about ways to keep a heart healthy.

    Exhibition was attended by more then 700 people during 2 days while 260 people were consulted by Almazov Federal Centre personnel.
