28 October 2011 Saint-Petersburg Governor Georgy Poltavchenko Awarded Prizes to Almazov Federal Centre Doctors

  

     Distinguished Citizen State Awards Ceremony was held in Smolny on 28 October 2011. By order of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev Saint-Petersburg governor Georgy Poltavchenko presented the awards.

   Among prizemen there were Saint-Petersburg doctors, teachers, workers of art, engineers, builders and workers’ representatives.

   

   Honorary distinction “Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation” was given to the following doctors of Almazov Federal Centre:

• Prof. Mikhail Gordeev, principal cardiac surgeon of the Centre, head of the department of cardiothoracic surgery
   
• Dr. Alexander Naymushin, head of the department of intensive therapy, anesthesiology and reanimation

    “Each day your efforts contribute to fame and glory of the city. Your work deserves respect and pride of all citizens”, said the governor. He wished the prizemen continued success for the benefit of city and country.
